About the Gallery

" WOW ! " is the word most frequently heard when someone visits our gallery for the first time and looks up at the neon sculpture hanging 55 feet above at the top of the old theatre fly.  The next thing they say when they look around is, "What a cool space!"

Located at the West end of the old Oaks theatre building at the top of Solano Avenue, Folk & Fine Art was opened in the fall of 2013.  We provide an arena where you can see a finely presented themed exhibition, but also view an inventory of folk art and other interesting graphic material, from biological charts, to maps to fine art prints.

Our exhibits change every few weeks and every show is a completely new walk-through experience.  Folk and Fine Art is an experiment.  It quite old-fashioned, in a way.  We are brick and mortar in an age of flickering screens.  We show and sell images that do not change with the click of a mouse.   We are growing this web site, and we are beginning to offer archival reproductions of most all of the things we have in our inventory.  Visit our gallery, or contact us, via the information at the right.

Thank you, Aaron Nelson and peter Wm Brown
